PLACEHOLDER

Jane is a Canadian contemporary artist based in Toronto. Her paintings mainly center around an abstract style and spontaneous creativity.

She works in oils and acrylics on canvases but frequently enjoys experimenting.

Jane often draws inspiration from landscapes and nature as well as her surrounding cityscapes.

Simplicity soothes the cluttered mind. I paint what is most pressing on my mind; emotions, ideas, imagery, thoughts, and so forth.

Oftentimes, I find myself drawing inspiration from landscapes, nature and cityscapes. I focus on the alignment of the bricks, the pattern of cracks in the pavement, the spray of ocean mist, and the swirl of the leaves on the treetops.

From this, I project my inner imagery onto the seemingly mundane to inspire viewers to slow down in their lives and discover beauty in unusual places.
